ADJUNCT INFORMATION: Adjunct instructors must hold a master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in the appropriate discipline. Adjunct positions are filled on an as needed basis, based on student enrollment. Applications are kept on file for one year, Employment status is deemed terminated following 2 inactive years. Texas Residents only apply.

BACKGROUND CHECK: At the present time, Cisco College conducts a criminal history background check on all individuals employed by the institution. Additionally, positions which require driving of college vehicles require applicants to possess and maintain a valid Texas State driver’s license and maintain evidence of insurability.

SELECTIVE SERVICE REQUIREMENT: HB 558, passed by the 76th Legislature requires that males between the ages of 18 and 25 show proof of compliance with federal Selective Service law in order to be eligible for employment with the state.

IRCA REQUIREMENT:
The Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 requires that within three days of their employment, all new employees must present documents verifying identity and right to accept employment within the United States.

Cisco College at this time is unable to sponsor applicants for foreign work visas.

These plans are offered by the Texas Employees Group Benefits Plan (GBP) and administered by the Employees Retirement System of Texas (ERS). For the health benefit only, member-only coverage along with $5,000 of basic term life is provided at no cost to the employee. Other coverages are selected by the employee and payment made through payroll deduction.

Additionally, our employees are provided access to an Employee Discount Plan through our State of Texas Group Benefits Plan.
